Dongsei Kim

Dongsei is a registered architect and urban designer from New Zealand. He is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at Columbia University in New York. He also teaches urbanism studios and seminars at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He founded a research driven architecture and urbanism practice, axu in 2010. He holds a Master in Design Studies with distinction from Harvard University GSD, MSAUD from Columbia University GSAPP, and a B.Arch(Hons) from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He has won several awards and competitions including the first prize for the Grand Concourse international ideas competition in NYC. His work at CCM Architects in Wellington has been widely published and recognized with several NZIA national and regional awards. He was an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at Kyunghee University in Korea, and taught at Victoria University of Wellington for several years. He is a registered architect with the NZRAB and Architect member of NZIA since 2007.
